Scholarships and Discounts



Note: No student may combine at the same time two or more scholarships except in cases of academic excellence during his studies at the university. The scholarships do not include the summer semester, with the exception of the scholarships of the Ministry of Higher Education

Granting a high school diploma:

The university offers scholarships to new students according to the following:

  • Full scholarship for those whose rank is among the top five in the Syrian general secondary school certificate or its equivalent.
  • Five scholarships, each equivalent to 50% of university fees (credit hour fees) for students who have obtained an average of 90% or more in the Syrian general secondary school, according to the order of their grades, and who are registered at the university.
  • The scholarship continues if the student maintains a GPA of at least 3 points (B).

Scholarships of the Ministry of Higher Education:

Full scholarships placed at the disposal of the Ministry of Higher Education Full scholarships as specified in the decree establishing the university so that the average of the advanced student is not less than the minimum allowable for admission to the required major.

Academic excellence awards:

The university offers a scholarship to each student who excels academically, provided that he has completed 30 credit hours at the university and that he has registered a minimum of 15 hours, except for the graduation semester, according to the instructions for granting a bachelor’s degree as follows:

  • 100% of the credit hours fees for the student who obtained a cumulative average of 4 (A+) points, as well as the first in the major, provided that his cumulative average is not less than 4 (A+) points.
  • 25% of the credit hour fees for students with a cumulative average of at least 3.75 (A) points.
  • 20% of the credit hour fees for students with a cumulative average of at least 3.5 points (A-).
  • 15% of the credit hour fees for a student who has a cumulative average of at least 3.25 points (B+).
  • 10% of the credit hour fees for a student with a cumulative average of at least 3 points (B).
  • The scholarship remains valid as long as the student fulfills the above conditions, and it applies only to the first and second semesters.

Scholarships for full brothers:

The university provides scholarships to siblings equivalent to 15% of the value of credit hours fees each semester for both accepted and registered students, and the scholarship remains valid if one of them graduates from the university.

Scholarships for children of university employees:

A scholarship of 50% of the value of tuition fees is offered to the children of university employees.

Sports and Cultural Excellence Scholarship:

Five scholarships are offered each semester amounting to 20% of the tuition fees for students who excel in mathematics and another five for students who excel culturally, in accordance with the foundations set by the University Council for this purpose.

Scholarship for children of Syrian trade union members:

Children of Syrian trade union members are granted a grant of 10% of the credit hour fees.

Comments:

It is not permissible for any student to combine at the same time two or more scholarships of the aforementioned, except in cases of academic excellence during his studies at the university.on top scholarship.

The scholarship is withheld from any student if one of the penalties mentioned in paragraphs (c, d, e) of Article Three of the Examination Penalty System and one of the penalties (7-11) of Article Two of the Disciplinary System at the International University for Science and Technology is imposed on him.
