Overview of the Academic Advising Committee Meeting
The Academic Advising Committee Meeting at the International University for Science and Technology was held on 09/02/2023, chaired by Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Manadili.
Members included representatives from all colleges and the National Union Branch for Syrian students. The meeting aimed to improve academic advising services and maintain high standards.

Establishing Academic Guidance Units
During the Academic Advising Committee Meeting, the need for dedicated academic guidance units in each faculty and department was highlighted. These units will provide specialized staff to answer students’ academic inquiries.
Course Registration and GPA Support
The committee discussed helping students with a cumulative GPA below 2.00 points and notifying them of academic status, including warnings, remedial study, or course exhaustion. The meeting emphasized a unified system for warnings and fixed schedules.
Online Academic Advising
A proposal was submitted to create a special online window for academic advising. This platform will present the most common academic questions and answers in accordance with university regulations.
