  • Where Knowledge Meets Experience: Architecture and Interior Design Students Explore Future Career Horizons

Bridging the gap between the classroom and the professional world, students from the College of Architecture and Interior Design engaged in an interactive session that brought them closer to the labor market. They gained insights into the opportunities and challenges awaiting them in the fields of architecture, design, and execution. The event was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the College of Architecture, in collaboration with the Algedra Group (specializing in design and execution) and the Nxt Level Events team.

The gathering was attended by Prof. Dr. Waad Omran, Dean of Student Affairs; Dr. Jaafar Al-Mansour Al-Dhahabi, Dean of the College of Architecture; and a number of faculty members and students.

Prior to the event, discussions regarding potential collaboration took place between the university and the Algedra Group delegation. The delegation included Mr. Mohab Ayoub, CEO of Algedra Group; Mr. Tarek Skik, Design Director; Mr. Abdullah Wabi, Administrative Assistant; and Ms. Leen Sirwan, Executive Director of Nxt Level. These discussions aimed to strengthen the academic partnership and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two parties.

Dr. Waad Omran opened the session by welcoming the guests and emphasizing the importance of building bridges between the university and the labor market. He highlighted the university’s commitment to preparing graduates who possess both academic knowledge and practical skills—graduates capable of meeting professional demands and excelling in their fields. This commitment is realized by fostering partnerships with private sector institutions and providing students with opportunities to benefit from the expertise and professional experiences of industry specialists. The meeting featured a presentation of Algedra Group’s experience in architecture, interior and exterior design, and project execution, alongside a discussion on labor market demands and the key professional skills required by engineers and designers in their careers. This was followed by an open dialogue and direct interaction with the students, allowing them to ask questions and receive answers from experts and specialists—thereby enhancing their understanding of the professional landscape and helping them explore their future career paths with confidence and insight.
