Academic Participation by the Faculty of Dentistry at the 23rd International Scientific Conference (SIDC 2026)

As part of the active scientific and academic engagement of its faculty in specialized forums, Dr. Ghassan Basit—Head of the Digital Research Unit and Professor of Dental Implants and Oral Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Dentistry, International University for Science and Technology—participated in the 23rd International Scientific Conference of the Dental Syndicate (SIDC 2026). Held at the Damascus Fairgrounds from September 24 to 26, 2026, the event drew approximately 3,500 dentists from within Syria and abroad.

Dr. Basit delivered a scientific lecture titled “Flap vs. Flapless Guided Implantology Concerning the Biological-Driven Concept.” Attended by over 700 dentists and specialists, the presentation addressed the role and limitations of artificial intelligence in digital implantology and the analysis of hard and soft tissues.

This participation reflects the faculty members’ commitment to professional and scientific engagement, as well as their dedication to staying abreast of the latest scientific and technological advancements in the fields of digital dentistry and artificial intelligence.
