Students of the International University for Science and Technology Participate in the 8th Annual Engineering Projects Exhibition at Damascus University
The International University for Science and Technology (IUST) participated today in the 8th Annual Exhibition of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University, held under the slogan “Syrian Youth Shaping the Future.”
Through its Faculty of Informatics and Communications Engineering, the university presented seven innovative engineering projects that reflect the creativity and excellence of its students and their strong capabilities in the technological and engineering fields.
The exhibition is considered one of the most prominent annual engineering events in Syria, featuring this year more than 155 projects prepared by students from the faculties of Mechanical, Electrical, Informatics, Technical, and Applied Engineering from various Syrian public and private universities.
The project Ziplinee CI/CD System — Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery System — prepared by graduate Shadi Shurbaji under the supervision of Dr. Hayan Al-Sibaie, received an award as the best project representing the university.
In addition, the faculty participated with six other innovative projects that showcased the diversity of students’ ideas and their leadership in programming, artificial intelligence, and smart systems, along with an incubated project within the Nomo Tech Incubator, including:
Smart Mobile Robot for Environment Mapping and Visual Object Recognition – by student Mustafa Al-Aaraji, supervised by Dr. Mohammad Mazen Mahairi
Bilt Fix – by students Nawar Ghanem, Mohammad Yousef Al-Sabbaan, and Maher Madour, supervised by Dr. Eyad Zoukar
AI-Supported Interview Platform for Companies and Job Seekers – by students Louts Khaldoun Qatineh and Mariam Abdulnasser Jomaa, supervised by Dr. Hayan Al-Sibaie
COCO’S EYES – by student Byan Najdat Obeid, supervised by Dr. Hayan Al-Sibaie
The Eclipse of the Elden Lord – by student Mohannad Dandashli
This participation comes as part of the university’s continuous efforts to support its students, encourage innovation and scientific research, and strengthen collaboration with other Syrian universities and the industrial sector — contributing to the development of students’ practical skills and linking academic education with the needs of the labor market.
