Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications: A Scientific Lecture by Dr. Mohammad Hayyan al-Sibai at the UNRWA_FirstSpark_Tech Exhibition
Dr. Mohammad Hayyan al-Sibai, Dean of the Faculty of information and communication Engineering , delivered a scientific lecture entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications” during the first day of the UNRWA_FirstSpark_Tech Exhibition, part of the UNRWA Technical and Vocational Education and Training Program. The International University for Science and Technology participated in the exhibition with five distinguished projects by students from the Faculty of Information Technology Engineering and Communications.
Dr. al-Sibai’s lecture focused on several important topics. He began by providing an introductory introduction to artificial intelligence, explaining its concept, history, and developments over time. He also touched on the applications of artificial intelligence in various fields and explained its basic techniques in a simplified manner. One of the main topics covered by Dr. Al-Sabai was a review of the various applications of artificial intelligence in many vital fields. He mentioned some of the most popular applications today, such as: Deepseek / Gimini _ Midjourney / Leonardo AI _ HeyGen _ ElevenLabs _ Ideogram / Recraft AI _ Hailio _ ConvertWave _ Suno _ CapCut _ Mindpal / Chantmind _ Gamma AI _ Notta AI.
Dr. Dr. Al-Sabai covered some technical topics and algorithms, such as extracting features from different types of data, such as text, images, or audio recordings, to perform classification, clustering, and other multi-processing operations based on a pipeline, resulting in the construction of an AI application based on one of the various fields mentioned above. He also addressed the sequential workflow method for building applications similar to Deepseek, Gimini, and ChatGPT, with an introduction to the tools, libraries, and software that help in building the above, especially with regard to Large Language Models (LLMs).
Dr. Al-Sabai concluded his lecture by emphasizing the importance of AI in shaping the future of technology and the necessity of investing in this field rationally and ethically. He noted that ongoing innovations in this field represent both challenges and opportunities, urging attendees to continue learning and developing to adapt to this technological revolution.
