Within a series of activities for the Syrian Arab Student day, the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students at the International University for Science and Technology, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, held a sub-university cultural competition for the academic year 2020-2021 on Monday 29 / 3 / 2021 headed by colleague Joseph Georgy, head of the National Union branch Syrian students at the university, in the presence of president of the university, Prof. Dr. Faisal Al-Abbas, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Fawaz Mofadi, and Dr. Iman Shahrour, Director of the Quality Department at the university.
In the beginning, a lot was drawn, and each participant selected a colleague from the Union branch at the university as a corrector for his answers throughout the duration of the competition and counting his final points, then the answer sheets were distributed to the participants, after that the competition was held as a presentation and the questions were over three stages: The first round included 20 questions, the second 40 questions and the last included 80 questions, the participants were given 10 seconds to answer each question which varied in geographical, historical, literary, scientific and other fields.
In the end, the names of the winners were announced and honored by the Dean of Student Affairs and the colleague, Head of the Union Branch at the university, by granting them participation certificates:

The colleague, the head of the Union branch, thanked the university administration and its deanship for its constant support for this type of extra-curricular activities, in his turn, the Dean of Student Affairs emphasized the importance of everything that would raise the general cultural level of students, as it is an integral part of the formation of the student’s personality.
