A project by the student Loubna Al-Asaadi, according to the practical training course at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology – Civil Engineering Department, the project was supervised by Dr. Abd Al-Mannan Orabi, it talked about wedges, types of wedges, when we have to use them and the method of implementation.
The students of the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, among the program of the practical training course, and under the supervision of Dr. Abd Al-Mannan Orabi, visited the implementation of a seven-storey residential project in Mashrou Dummar, island 16 and Al-Furqan mosque, the students knew about the constructional plans and reinforcing some structural elements such as columns and slabs and how to receive and deliver them, casting mechanism and taking tests in the site.
The students of the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department visited several engineering projects among the program of the practical training course; they visited Adra Company for Cement and Building Materials. The manager of the company greeted the students warmly and presented a brief at the company and future plans, then the students toured the company and knew about cement manufacturing steps.
On Thursday 20/12/2018, the Deanship of Student Affairs at the International University for Science & Technology organized a scientific trip for students of the architectural and civil engineering departments to Homs city, in cooperation with the Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students – the administrative board of the Faculty, The trip included a visit to the Industrial city of Hisyah, Khalid Ibn Al-Walid Mosque, the Homs Covered Market and the archaeological areas, in order to review the restoration processes and reconstruction projects.
The trip was attended by the dean of the faculty Dr. Maamoun Al- Samkari, Dr. Imad Almasri, vice dean of the faculty – the head of the Architectural engineering department and the supervisor from the civil engineering department Dr. Abd Al – Hameed Qekhia, beside a lot of students.
By the beginning of the new academic year, and within the activities and projects of the Department of Architecture at Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the International University IUST, a group of students from “Architectural Design (3)” course visited the permanent headquarters of the university in Ghabaghib – Daraa Highway, to inform about academic project suggestions on the university land. The trip was supervised by professors: Dr. Emad El Masry, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Dr. Adib Omri, Head of Architectural Engineering Department, and a group of other professors and engineers. During the trip, the students discussed the layout and design of the university, hoping to come back soon.
The International University for Science and Technology (IUST) organized a scientific trip for its students from architectural engineering department to Homs Governorate on 8/11/2018 to review the restoration processes, historical sites and reconstruction experiences under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Imad Al-Masri, Deputy Dean of the faculty of Engineering and Technology and with a participation of 48 students.
On Saturday 1/12/2018, the Architectural Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at the International University organized a scientific visit for its students, as a part of the Architectural Design (5) course, to the National Museum of Damascus under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Imad Al-Masri, Vice Dean of the faculty of Engineering & Technology and Dr. Tammam Fakouch, the coordinator of the course, besides, many professors and students. It was a rich visit in which explanations were made about the museum building and the important archaeological monuments, which raises up Syria to be the land that includes all ancient civilizations and one-third of the world’s monuments.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the International University for Science and Technology in cooperation with the Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology organized a scientific trip for students of Architectural Engineering Department to the Directorate of Old Damascus “Maktab Anbar” in “Practical Training” course, where they met the Director of the Office Eng.”Hayat Al Hassan”, who briefed them on a tour some of its sections and stages of its architectural development and its artistic design and engravings and ornaments on the walls and ceilings of its halls.
The certificates of participation in documenting some of the interfaces of Maktab Anbar by students of practical training course in the Architectural Department were distributed.
On the other hand, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University, Dr. Mamoun Al-Samkari, discussed with the Director of the Office the possibility of increasing cooperation with the University, especially the other departments of the Faculty as civil engineering, communications and informatics.
This was followed by a quick visit to Azem Palace and Khan As’ad Pasha.
The trip was attended by the dean of the faculty Dr. Maamoun Al- Samkari, Dr. Imad Almasri, vice dean of the faculty, Eng. Hanan Al Hassan and Eng. Nooran Eita.
In collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the International University held on Thursday 11/4/2019 a scientific and entertaining trip for 82 students from the Department of Computer and Informatics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Communications to Tishreen University in Lattakia Governorate under the supervision of Dr. Mutism Shafa’mari, head of Department of Computer and Informatics Engineering, Dr. Mahmoud Mahfouri, head of the University’s Requirements Department and the engineers: Mr. Ammar Al-Ghamian, Majda Asaad, Samar Abu Al-Fotouh and Mr. Samer Al-Koumi, Director of Activities at the University.
They met there Prof. Dr. Jaafar Al-Khair, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics Engineering, Prof. Rami Mansour, Dean of Faculty of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Dr. Mariam Saaiee, Head of Computers and Automation & Robotics department, Dr. Haitham Al Radwan, Head of Communication Engineering Department and Dr. Mohamed Dioub, head of Mechatronics Department. Moreover, the shield of the International University was awarded to each dean of the colleges and they discussed prospects of joint cooperation in different activities.
The students toured the modern computer networks labs to see the work of the Internet service providers, followed by the antennas lab where the students listened to the supervisor on design and control antenna beams, then Automation & Robotics Lab; they talked about the automation of production plans, next they went to the robotics laboratory and attended an experience on robot “SCARA RRR” and finally to the modern communications and Mechatronics labs. After that, the delegation went to the headquarters of
Prime Tech company, the owner of Shamra search engine in Lattakia, to learn about the mechanism, labor market requirements and the most important techniques used in the structure of Shamra search engine and there the delegation was received by the manager of the company Eng. Mr. Firas Saleh and a large number of software developers in the company. During the visit, the director of Prime Tech Company gave the shield of Shamra to the representative of International University and discussed the prospects of scientific cooperation.
The next morning, the students visited several touristic places in the governorate, such as the Blue Beach – Ein Al-Beda- Mashqita – Wadi Qandil, with an atmosphere of pleasure and joy.

On Thursday 20/12/2018, the Deanship of Student Affairs at the International University for Science & Technology organized a scientific trip for students of the communications & electronics engineering department to the “Satellite Center” in Saidnaya city, in cooperation with the Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students – the administrative board of the Faculty, in “Space Communications” course. The trip was attended by the head of the department Dr. Deeb Khalifa and Dr. Mohammed Mehoub, in which the responsible engineer of the center toured with the students, informed them on the mechanism of operation of the space station with its various departments and equipment, like Antennas, Receiving, Transmission, and Control Section.
