Objectives
To prepare a generation of graduates of the Faculty of Architecture according to international academic and professional standards, capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and supporting all efforts of construction, reconstruction, and sustainable development in Syria by providing a built environment that respects nature and humans and serves the material and spiritual needs of society by taking advantage of modern technologies, and the faculty also develops in students the spirit of teamwork, innovation, the desire to continue learning and lifelong education, the circulation of knowledge, the conduct of scientific and technological research, and the contribution to the development of personal cognitive abilities and the advancement of society scientifically and cognitively.
The Faculty of Architecture aspires to enhance the position of the International University for Science and Technology as part of the national higher education system by achieving positive scientific outcomes that contribute effectively to the reconstruction of Syria by providing a functional, healthy, beautiful, and enjoyable built environment that contributes to development and community service, and creating an academic environment in which students and faculty interact to achieve competition and leadership locally and regionally to employ this in creating a distinctive architectural and urban landscape for the character and style of the architecture of the future in Syria.
The goals of the College of Architecture are to:
- Prepare qualified architectural engineers with a high level of knowledge and skills to meet the needs of society and its specificity, and to have a deep understanding of its heritage and history.
- Use the skills acquired in basic and technical sciences in the fields of architecture and compatibility with other engineering disciplines.
- Promote the role of the Arab Syrian architect in the field of reconstruction concepts and preservation of heritage and identity.
- Achieve, publish and achieve outstanding scientific research in the field of architecture and urbanism in cooperation with various scientific, industrial and service institutions to find the best solutions to the problems posed by these institutions.
- Contribute to training, training and continuing education courses by providing short educational courses and training courses for graduates within the country and abroad in cooperation with universities with which we have scientific agreements.
- Achieve the highest level of interaction between the university and society in order to improve scientific and educational outputs.
- Establish the closest ties and best scientific partnership with local and international universities through agreements for the exchange of knowledge and scientific skills, cooperation, and mutual exchanges for students and teaching staff.
