Dean’s Word:

Architecture, or architectural engineering, is the mother of the arts. It encompasses design, drawing, sculpture, and decoration, and it is the witness to human civilization from generation to generation. It is a discipline that combines science and art to meet the needs and requirements of humans in the environment in which they live, from the emergence of the first architectural buildings in history, which are houses and dwellings, to specialized buildings for every human need, such as religious, educational, commercial, cultural, health, and tourism facilities, etc.

The elements of architecture (function, beauty, durability, and economy) are still the pillars of architectural engineering, and the title of architect is still the dream of many young men and women. Architecture embodies beauty, develops the community’s taste, and leaves its mark on the pages of history.

Architectural engineering is developing rapidly, especially using modern technologies, to produce designs that are astonishing and represent milestones for nations that will continue to boast of their architectural civilization.

Since Syria is the cradle of civilizations and a museum of architecture that embodies the fusion of cultures and human creativity, the Faculty of Architecture at the International University for Science and Technology carries the message of creativity in science and art, aiming to build a elite of architects who preserve its architectural heritage and publish on its land the most beautiful buildings and facilities that will always be crowned with the jasmine of love and peace.
