Conclusion of the Central University Sports Championship for Karate and Taekwondo, and the International University for Science and Technology won several medals and centers

Yesterday evening, Monday, March 15, 2021, the activities of the Central University Sports Championship # Karate and # Taekwondo, held by the Executive Office of the National Union of Syrian Students – Central Sports Activity Office in cooperation with the General Sports Federation at the level of all governmental and private Syrian institutes and universities in Al Jalaa Hall, Damascus Governorate.

Under the auspices of the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university, the International University for Science and Technology participated with an official sports mission in the championship headed by colleague Joseph Georgy, head of the Student Union Branch at the university and supervised by Aghyad Hayani, member of the branch leadership – head of the sub-office of sports activity and coach Mustafa Al-Marhej, supervisor of sports activities in the University. The university was represented by a number of students from various colleges, most of whom reached advanced stages, and they are:

– Karam Kamal Matrad

– Lotus Khaldoun Qoutayni

– Mhd Hani Mhd Nizar Ghabour

– Heba Maher Bakr Rihawi

The International University for Science and Technology (IUST) has achieved the following positions:

First place (gold medal) in female karate in weight category (- 50) won by colleague Lotus Qatini.

Third place (bronze medal) female Taekwondo in weight category (- 57) won by colleague Dima Al-Nouri.

Third place (bronze medal) female Taekwondo in weight category (- 67) won by colleague Heba Rihawi.
