A delegation from the Syrian Doctors and Pharmacists Association in Germany visits the university and signs a scientific cooperation agreement after a lecture on scientific research opportunities and medical specialization in Germany

Technology hosted today a delegation from the Syrian Doctors and Pharmacists Association in Germany #SYGAAD, which included Dr. Bilal Al-Ashqar Al-Hamawi (a graduate of the University’s Faculty of Pharmacy) and Dr. Mohammad Essam Zabad.
The visit included a scientific lecture on scientific research opportunities and medical specialization in Germany, and the signing of an academic, scientific and research cooperation agreement and exchange of knowledge and experience in areas of common interest.
The university president started the lecture by emphasizing the remarkable progress of the university in local and international rankings, and pointed out the increase in the number of scientific research published internationally in the name of the university, which reflected positively on its global ranking in several prestigious academic indicators, stressing the university’s constant endeavor to strengthen its international partnerships and create new opportunities for its students and professors in the academic and professional fields.
Dr. Bilal Al-Ashqar Al-Hamwi addressed the basics of scientific research, providing practical guidance to students on how to reach a research paper published in a peer-reviewed journal, with a focus on pharmacy and dentistry students, as well as the classification of scientific journals and the importance of publishing in them in enhancing the academic ranking of universities.
Dr. Al-Ashqar reviewed the opportunities to practice pharmacy and dentistry in Germany, explaining the differences between academic and professional work, as well as the requirements to practice in the German market.
Dr. Mohammad Essam Zabad spoke about the establishment of the Syrian Doctors and Pharmacists Association in Germany (SYGAAD), highlighting its objectives and areas of work in supporting Syrian medical staff academically and professionally. He also reviewed the most prominent activities of the association and its contributions to empowering Syrian doctors and pharmacists in Germany.
At the end of the lecture, Dr. Ammar Nasser Agha honored the guest delegation by presenting them commemorative shields.
The visit also included a tour of the clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry and the laboratories of the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as a graduation project for students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, where the delegation expressed their admiration for this project and the importance of refining graduation projects to be external publications in peer-reviewed journals that contribute to raising the level of the university.
