The International Private University for Science and Technology (IPUST) participated in the 7th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, Optimization and Robotics Applications (ICHORA 2025), which was held in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on May 23-24, 2025. This conference is a leading scientific platform for presenting the latest research in the fields of engineering, artificial intelligence, robotics, and human-computer interaction techniques, as well as discussing contemporary challenges and innovative solutions in these disciplines.

The university was represented by Dr. Mohamed Hayan Al-Sebai, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, who presented a paper entitled: “Design and Implementation of a Human-Computer Interaction System Using Hand Tracking and Gesture Recognition via an Integrated Camera” through the Zoom platform

This research comes as a result of the graduation project of Youssef Zuhair George from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, under the supervision of Dr. Radad Al-Kanj (former teacher at the department and professor at the Syrian Virtual University) and Dr. Mohammad Hayan Al-Sebai (assistant supervisor).
The research was accepted for publication in the conference papers, which is organized under the umbrella of the IEEE, and indexed in the international Scopus database, which reflects the quality and scientific importance of the research.

The ICHORA conference was launched in 2019 as an international forum that brings together scientists, experts, and those interested in the fields of human-computer interaction, robotics, and technical optimization, with the aim of exchanging experiences and discussing theoretical and practical developments in an academic and applied framework.
This participation highlights the role of the International Private University for Science and Technology in promoting scientific research and keeping abreast of the latest technological trends at the global level.
