The International University for Science and Technology recently completed maintenance, restoration, rehabilitation, and renovation of the infrastructure across various buildings and facilities on campus. The project, which began last year, aims to sustain and develop infrastructure, advance university education, and provide educational services to students in the most appropriate and quality manner.

The maintenance work included exterior and interior painting of all colleges and facilities, the installation of new college nameplates, the installation of plastic water pumps and tanks, general maintenance of central air conditioning systems, complete repairs and maintenance of bathroom facilities, updating sanitary ware, and the provision of all hygiene supplies to all colleges and university buildings.

The university also implemented solar energy projects, installed new main power cables, renovated some office equipment and furniture, maintained the university health center’s ambulance, and maintained several scientific laboratory equipment in the Colleges of Pharmacy and Dentistry. Maintenance and renovation work also extended to the College of Dentistry, where 138 dental chairs were provided for the college’s clinics and halls. Additionally, the college’s equipment was modernized and upgraded. Three apical x-ray machines, three endodontic microscopes, sensors, and a 3D panoramic imaging device were also provided.

Renovation and rehabilitation work was also completed on the prayer halls located in the College of Pharmacy and College of Engineering and Technology buildings. Marble replacements were applied to the walls, carpeted the floors, and Qur’ans were installed. The lighting system was also improved. The quality of bathroom and ablution facilities was maintained and improved, with special shelves installed to meet the needs of worshippers.

As part of future plans, work is currently underway to revitalize the green spaces in the university gardens and develop the medical garden.
