Graduation project at the College of Pharmacy highlights autism spectrum disorder
The disturbances of the autism spectrum are a group of developmental disorders that affect an individual’s ability to communicate and interact socially. These disorders include autism disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and others. The treatment of autism spectrum varies depending on each individual’s condition and may include behaviorism, educational, psychological, and sometimes pharmacological treatments.
This research” A Study on Autism Disorder Among A Sample of Syrian Patients” was performed at International University for Since and Technology supervised by Dr. Mais Saleh and prepared by students: Maryam Al-Alem, Sariah Nouider and Nabilah Abd-Alazim.
In which we studied new facts about autism spectrum disorders in order to understanding the nature of autism spectrum disorders and their different types, in addition to studying the importance of diagnosing and treating them correctly to improve the quality of life for those affected by this disorder.
The study included 36 patients suffering from autism, in which the patients were studied in term of gender, presence of familial history, type of autism and type of treatment. In addition to other important topics related to autism spectrum disorders.
