Medical Forum to Promote Innovation and Prepare Future Healthcare Leaders
In the presence of Professor Dr. Waad Omran, University Secretary and Dean of Student Affairs, the “Innovation Learning for Future Healthcare Leaders” medical forum was inaugurated today. The forum was organized by the Syrian-German Medical Association (SGMA) in cooperation with and under the auspices of the Syrian Pharmacists Syndicate, and was held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Dentistry at the university.
The forum was organized within the framework of supporting continuing education, enhancing academic and professional development skills, and encouraging innovation, thereby contributing to the preparation of healthcare professionals capable of keeping pace with scientific advancements and the rapid developments in the healthcare sector.
In his opening remarks, Professor Dr. Waad Omran welcomed the attendees, expressing his gratitude to the Syrian-German Medical Association and the Syrian Pharmacists Syndicate for choosing the university to host this event. He emphasized that Syria is once again opening its doors to science and scientists, and is striving to build an environment conducive to science, knowledge, and academic cooperation.
Dr. Imran highlighted the importance of scientific events in strengthening communication between the academic and professional communities, supporting students and healthcare professionals, and fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and development. He congratulated the students who won the INN competition and wished them continued success and excellence.
The forum included several scientific and professional lectures on active learning in higher education, innovative treatments and drug discovery, the researcher’s role in transforming scientific questions into results, and personal development plans for building a better future. These lectures were presented by a distinguished group of academics: Professor Majd Al-Jamali, Dr. Khaled Hassan, Dr. Mazen Al-Hammadi, and Dr. Mohammed Ehab Al-Jundi.
At the conclusion of the forum, the winning students of the INN competition were honored and presented with certificates by faculty members from the College of Pharmacy. The event was well-attended by professors, students, and those interested in medical affairs, reflecting the importance of such gatherings in exchanging knowledge and experiences and opening new avenues for scientific and professional collaboration.
