Career Path Planning: Practical Steps Towards the Job Market

In a move reflecting the university’s commitment to preparing its students for the demands of the job market, the College of Dentistry’s auditorium hosted the practical workshop “Career Path Planning.” The workshop, which saw wide participation from students across various disciplines, was part of a training program aimed at transforming academic aspirations into a well-defined career path.

The workshop, held under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs and in cooperation with Da’oub Recruitment Agency, was presented by trainer Sally Ismail. It focused on building students’ career awareness through practical modules that included defining career goals, charting a career path according to their specialization, preparing a professional resume, and developing skills for tackling job interviews and handling common interview questions.

The workshop was not limited to theory; it also included live job interview simulations, allowing participants to understand body language, confident self-presentation techniques, and effective job search methods, thus providing them with a realistic understanding of the modern job market.

The lecture also highlighted the importance of personal and professional branding, and the necessity of linking personal and professional skills to future goals, thus helping students build a comprehensive professional identity that aligns with the evolving job market and its changing needs.

This workshop is part of a series of activities stemming from the agreement signed between the university and Da’oub Employment Agency, aimed at equipping students with the essential knowledge and skills that enable them to enter the job market confidently and professionally, and enhance their readiness to transition from university life to professional life more effectively.
