Strengthening Cooperation between the Faculty of Pharmacy and the National Authority for Quality and Accreditation in Support of Academic Development and Excellence
As part of ongoing efforts and under the guidance of the University President, Professor Ammar Nasser Agha, a delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy visited the National Authority for Quality and Accreditation. They met with the Authority’s President, Professor Omar Hamada, as part of a series of consultations aimed at strengthening cooperation and achieving optimal results regarding the national entrance examination for postgraduate studies.
During the meeting, several strategic issues were discussed that contribute to the university’s development, enhance its ranking, and solidify its position as one of the leading private universities in Syria. Discussions focused on developing the educational process within the Faculty, program accreditation requirements, and ways to align educational outcomes with national standards and labor market needs. The meeting also addressed the preparation of automated questions for the unified national examination, the development of academic programs, and ways to strengthen graduates’ connection to the university. The Faculty’s self-assessment report and several accreditation-related issues were also discussed.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of establishing a culture of quality and continuous evaluation within the academic institution, and the pivotal role the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission plays in supporting academic development, while committing to fulfilling accreditation requirements according to approved national frameworks and standards.
This visit follows up on the Commission President’s previous visit to the university, aimed at strengthening joint cooperation and raising the standards of quality and academic accreditation, thereby achieving the goals of institutional development and excellence.
The delegation included Dr. Essam Al-Nasser, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Bissan Ahmed, Dr. Imran Mukhallati, and Dr. Hala Sarhan.
