Report on Local and International Academic Partnerships International Private University for Science and Technology
As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen its academic and research standing and to expand its network of cooperation with local and international educational and research institutions, the International Private University for Science and Technology has, in recent months, actively participated in a number of distinguished scientific and applied events.
This report highlights the most prominent academic partnerships achieved over recent months and demonstrates the University’s commitment to providing innovative contributions in the fields of scientific research, engineering, pharmacy, and technology.
First: Local Academic Partnerships
- Participation of the Faculties of Civil and Architectural Engineering in the AACE Syria Conference on Project Management Engineering and Cost Estimation, held at the Seven Gates Hotel, Damascus.
- Participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Informatics Engineering in the Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Research at Al-Furat University.
- Participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in the Scientific Day “From Liberation to Reconstruction” at the University of Damascus, presenting advanced engineering insights on post-war reconstruction.
- Participation of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in the First Syrian Engineering Conference (S.I.E.C 2025) at the National Library, Damascus.
- Participation of students from the Faculty of Informatics Engineering in the Annual Engineering Projects Exhibition at the University of Damascus, with the winning project: “Ziplinee CI/CD System.”
- Participation of students from the Faculty of Informatics Engineering in the PIXEL Vortex Competition during Tech Day at the Arab International Private University, where the University’s students won first and third places.
- Participation of students from the Faculty of Informatics Engineering in the UNRWA First Spark Tech event, with more than six innovative entrepreneurial projects; one project qualified to participate in the global Teknofest Competition.
- Participation of the University in the Data Analysts Forum at the University of Damascus on the occasion of World Statistics Day.
- Participation of Dr. Mohammad Hayan Al-Sebaei in a scientific lecture within the activities of the UNRWA First Spark Tech Exhibition entitled: Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications in Scientific Research.
- Participation of the University in the Education and Training Forum “JOB FOR YOU Forum” at Sheraton Hotel, Damascus, aimed at showcasing employment opportunities for students and graduates.
- Participation of students from the Faculties of Informatics Engineering and Communications Engineering with seven engineering projects in the Eighth Annual Engineering Projects Exhibition of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Damascus, under the slogan “Syrian Youth Shape the Future.” The winning project at the university level was “Ziplinee CI/CD System.”
Second: International Academic Partnerships
- Participation of the University in Arab Architecture Week 2025 (Online) through a research paper by Architect Majda Sakar, a graduate of the Faculty of Architectural Engineering, entitled:
“The Impact of Aromatic Plants in Supporting the Mental Health of Disaster-Affected Communities During Recovery and Reconstruction in Syria – A Case Study of Damascus.” - Participation of the University in the Third Gulf Education and Training Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, Manarat Al Saadiyat, Saadiyat Island.
- Participation of the University in the Tenth International Conference on the Arabic Language in Dubai.
- Participation of the University President in the Annual General Assembly Meeting of the Syrian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce.
- Participation of the University in the First Forum of Arab Universities in Amman, Jordan, where it was the only university from Syria to participate.
- Participation of a University graduate in a training program at the University of Sharjah entitled “Developing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills”:
Participant: Anas Mohammad Saeed Al-Hamawi, graduate of the Faculty of Business Administration and Finance. - Participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy in the 80th Advisory Meeting of the World Health Organization in Geneva.
- Participation of a University graduate in the Ninth International Conference of the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman, represented by Architect Majda Sakar, graduate of the Faculty of Architectural Engineering.
- Participation of the University in the 41st Conference of the Arab Organization for University Admissions and Registration Officers in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Participation of the University in the Syrian Academic Summit “Safir” aimed at enhancing academic cooperation.
- Participation of the University in the 20th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water, and Environment Systems (SDEWES 2025) in Dubrovnik, Croatia, represented by Dr. Adnan Al-Ashqar.
- Participation of the University in the 7th International Conference on Human–Computer Interaction, Optimization, and Robotic Applications (ICHORA 2025) in Ankara, Turkey, through innovative research in robotic applications.
- Participation of the University in the International Conference on Decision Support Sciences in Manama, Bahrain (online), represented by Dr. Mahmoud Mahfouri.
- Participation of the University in the Robot For Global Competition through innovative projects in the field of robotics.
- Participation of the University in the Third Engineering Consultancy Conference “Shaping the Future of the Engineering Consultancy Sector” in Jordan, represented by Dr. Eng. Maamoun Al-Wara’.
- Visit of a delegation from the Damascus Intermediate Institute and the Technology Entrepreneurs Community to the University, aimed at supporting students participating in the UNRWA First Spark Tech 2025 Exhibition and enhancing their chances of qualifying for the international Teknofest Competition in Turkey.
- Accreditation of the University as a Pilot Entrepreneurial Center for the INNs School affiliated with the World Health Organization, among nine universities worldwide.
The International Private University for Science and Technology continues to expand and excel academically through its active participation in local and international events and conferences. This reflects its ongoing commitment to knowledge exchange and innovation across various academic fields. These academic partnerships contribute to building a broad network of cooperation with educational and research institutions at both local and international levels, strengthening the University’s position and equipping students and graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the labor market and actively contribute to scientific and technological advancement.
