Welcome ceremony for new students at the College of Pharmacy: a stepping stone towards a bright academic future
Under the patronage and presence of Professor Dr. Ammar Nasser Agha, President of the University, the College of Pharmacy organized today a reception for new students, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Waad Omran, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Habib Abboud, in addition to a number of department heads and professors, with the aim of introducing the new students to the academic process of the college and the study systems adopted in it.
The ceremony was opened by Professor Dr. Ammar Nasser Agha with a speech in which he welcomed the new students, praising their efforts in choosing their field of study in one of the university’s most prestigious colleges, stressing the importance of continuous effort and diligence in achieving scientific excellence, explaining that the university administration will always support its students in their academic career, by providing an appropriate educational environment and academic resources that keep pace with the latest scientific developments in all fields.
While the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Waad Omran, focused in his speech on the necessity of adhering to the university’s regulations and laws, examination instructions, and the mechanism for obtaining a university card. He also stressed the importance of following the university’s official channels to obtain accurate and reliable information, stressing at the same time that the Office of the Deanship of Student Affairs always remains open to receive students, answer their inquiries, and provide them with the necessary support during their academic career.
In turn, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Habib Abboud, welcomed the new students, praising their choice of this distinguished academic field, and stressed the importance of hard work and diligence in their academic career, noting that the college provides an advanced educational environment, aiming to provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to keep pace with future challenges in the field of pharmacy. He also pointed out the college’s commitment to providing all academic and research capabilities to support their excellence.
The ceremony also included many introductory paragraphs about the college and university, in addition to motivational speeches from professors and representatives of academic departments, where reference was made to the advanced capabilities that the university provides to its students.
