A Scientific Trip for Students of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to the Buildex International Exhibition in Damascus
As part of its efforts to strengthen the link between academic studies and modern professional practices, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences organized a scientific trip for students of the Interior Design Department to the Buildex International Exhibition for Building, Infrastructure, Municipalities, and Security and Safety Systems (23rd edition) at the new Damascus Fairgrounds. The students were accompanied by a group of faculty members.
The visit focused on providing firsthand insight into the latest global developments in fields directly related to interior design. Students toured the numerous pavilions, which featured over 400 local and international companies, and listened to explanations from specialists about the latest innovations, technologies, and materials used in the industry, particularly those supporting the concepts of sustainability, energy efficiency, and smart construction.
The event aimed to familiarize students with the future development prospects of the construction sector and the demands of the future job market, which is increasingly focused on technology and environmental sustainability. This will contribute to enhancing their practical and professional readiness and open new horizons for their career opportunities after graduation.
