From Theory to Practice… Business and Finance Students Present a Comprehensive Project Management Model
The Faculty of Business and Finance at the International University for Science and Technology (IUST) organized a distinguished academic activity, during which a comprehensive educational framework for Project Management Processes was presented, based on the PMBOK Guide issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the United States.
This work was supervised by Dr. Dana Al-Kuwaifi, a lecturer in the Project Management course, and prepared by a group of outstanding students.
The students designed the presentation and prepared a comprehensive demonstration, which was delivered during a lecture at the faculty. The lecture was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Ammar Nasser Agha, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Muhammad Hamra, and a number of professors and students. The presentation covered the five process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing), in addition to the ten knowledge areas that constitute the internationally recognized framework for professional project management. The chart visually illustrates the project lifecycle, from inception to closure, demonstrating the integration of planning, execution, and monitoring processes. It also serves as a permanent visual reference for college students, helping them understand the interrelationships between project management elements and enhancing their ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations.
