The College of Information and Communication Engineering Council held its first official meeting, attended by Professor Ammar Nasser Agha, President of the University. The Council reviewed the College’s future work plan and its educational and research orientations.

The University President opened the meeting with a congratulatory speech to the College Council members on the start of the 2025/2026 academic year. He emphasized the College’s importance in advancing technical and innovative education in the fields of information and communications engineering. He praised the efforts of all parties that contributed to this academic achievement.
For his part, Dr. Hayyan Al-Sabai, Dean of the College, reviewed the new curriculum, which is in line with the latest academic standards. He emphasized that the College will offer advanced specializations that meet the needs of the local and international labor market in the fields of information and communications technology. The academic calendar for this year was also reviewed, emphasizing the College’s commitment to the dates of academic and midterm exams.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities and student support. It emphasized encouraging students to innovate and participate in quality projects addressing modern technological issues, highlighting scientific research that contributes to solving emerging technical problems in the fields of information and communications technology. Finally, the college’s participation in the “SparkTeck” exhibition, organized by UNRWA, was highlighted tomorrow, Tuesday, the 14th of this month. The college presented five outstanding projects, reflecting the level of innovation and excellence achieved by its students, reflecting the effectiveness of its curricula and its support for student creativity.
