The Research Ethics Committee holds its first meeting of the year

The University’s Research Ethics Committee held its first meeting of the year, chaired by Professor Ammar Nasser Agha, President of the University, and attended by committee members:
Professor Mohammed Salem Rakab, Dean of the College of Dentistry
Dr. Habib Abboud, Dean of the College of Pharmacy
Dr. Rana Habib, Vice Dean of the College of Pharmacy
Dr. Bisan Ahmed, Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology

The attendees discussed a number of topics related to the committee’s tasks and objectives for the current academic year. They also reviewed the scientific research planned for the university’s colleges and emphasized the need for them to adhere to international ethical standards, particularly those contained in the Declaration of Helsinki on medical research on human subjects.
This meeting aims to promote a culture of sound scientific research and ensure its compliance with established ethical and legal standards.
