University President Inaugurates New Auditorium at the College of Architecture with a Specialized Lecture on Artificial Intelligence
Embodying the vision of the International University for Science and Technology to develop infrastructure and provide an advanced educational environment for its students, University President Professor Dr. Ammar Nasser Agha today inaugurated the new auditorium at the College of Architecture. The opening ceremony was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Waad Omran, the Dean of the College, Dr. Jaafar Al-Dhahabi, and a group of faculty members and students.
In his opening remarks, Professor Dr. Ammar Nasser Agha emphasized that this project embodies the university’s vision to develop infrastructure and provide an advanced educational environment for its students. He emphasized the importance of organizing events, workshops, and lectures that address students’ specializations and keep pace with the latest labor market requirements.
The first event hosted by the new auditorium was a scientific lecture entitled “An Approach to Artificial Intelligence Applications in Architecture and Interior Design,” delivered by Engineer Bashar Khayat, a lecturer from the college. The lecture discussed two main themes:
How are artificial intelligence technologies transforming the way we innovate, design, and improve spaces? What are the tools and methods of artificial intelligence that are reshaping architectural and interior design practices?
On this occasion, the Dean of the College, Dr. Jaafar Al-Dhahabi, explained that this facility will serve as a platform for hosting prominent scientific and cultural events and discussions of graduation projects for the College and other colleges at the university. He pointed out that the launch of this unique lecture aims to open new horizons for architecture and design students in light of the developments in the era of artificial intelligence. He explained that the auditorium has a capacity of 150 students and is equipped with the latest technologies, including a display screen and integrated audio elements to host various types of high-quality events.
