Honoring a member of the technical staff at the International University for Science and Technology for winning the Fine Arts Award in the “Syria in Our Eyes” competition.

The International University for Science and Technology congratulates visual artist Rawan Odeh (a member of the Artistic Staff in the Graphic Design Department) for winning first place in the “Syria in Our Eyes” competition for her artwork “Time” (a 180 x 90 cm silkscreen print). The artist Rawan Odeh was honored at a special ceremony held under the auspices of the Ministry of Information, in partnership with the General Organization for Television and Radio Production and Trend Art Production. The ceremony was held at the Damascus Opera House, attended by Arab officials and diplomats. The “Syria in Our Eyes” initiative was launched last April to discover Syrian talent in visual arts, photography, and video production, with the aim of highlighting Syria’s beauty, cultural identity, and the ability of its people to overcome challenges. It is worth noting that the artist Rawan Odeh is also a teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus, reflecting the depth of her academic and artistic experience.
