The College of Dentistry Organizes a Scientific Symposium on the Basics of Dental Implants
To enhance the practical skills of its students, the College of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in cooperation with Al-Nashawi Dental School, organized a scientific symposium entitled “Introducing Implants: World and Surgical Kit Hands-On.” Dr. Fouad Othman Agha lectured at the symposium.
The symposium focused on the history of implants from their beginnings to their development, case diagnosis, how to initiate the implant procedure, and how to prepare the patient step-by-step to achieve a successful implant, as well as follow-up afterward. The symposium also provided practical training for students on what they learned theoretically during the semester, enhancing their understanding and clinical skills.
The symposium, held in the college auditorium, was attended by: Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Salem Al-Rakab; Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Waad Omran; Director of Public Relations, Mr. Shadi Al-Barqawi; Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Iyad Abu Asali; and a group of professors and students.
This symposium is part of a series of scientific events organized by the college to enhance integration between academics and clinical practice and encourage scientific research.
