History :


The Faculty of Pharmacy was established since the university began with the beginning of the academic year 2005/2006 and it offers a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy.

Vision:


Faculty of pharmacy is committed to achieve the vision of IUST by leading research in pharmacy sciences, providing qualified education to innovative students and building their capacities through practical work and integrity in order to contribute the country, and the global community at large with professional pharmacists who are able to work in different fields.

Mission:


The mission of faculty of pharmacy is to educate and train students to become leading pharmacists and scientists by providing balanced program of education, practical work and research to students in the field of biomedical, pharmaceutical, social and clinical sciences.

Objectives :


Upon successful completion of the Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, it is anticipated that the IUST will:

  • Provide a dynamic and innovative curriculum in the didactic and experiential components in order to educate and train Pharmacy graduates who possess advanced knowledge, required skills, and professional attitudes to promote pharmaceutical care and practice. Monitoring the curriculum and evaluating and revising it continuously to assure current content and relevance to practice. Increasing elements of cultural sensitivity and community belonging in the curriculum.
  • Recruit and attract highly qualified students who are prepared for a professional program in terms of academic qualifications, communication skills, study and learning skills, and motivation for a pharmacy-related career. Diversity when selecting incoming students for admission into the Pharmacy program will be considered.
  • Promote active learning, life-long learning, and develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills through the use of innovative teaching strategies.
